Day 1: Hike Mount Bisoke

After breakfast you have a hike to the magical summit of Bisoke Volcano, a dormant volcano in Volcanoes National Park. Bisoke Mountain forms part of the eight Virunga Massifs. Or if you are in Kigali, drive for about 2 to 3 hours to Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda to kick start your adventure. While on a hike to the summit of Bisoke Volcano, don’t miss to explore the beautiful vegetation especially the bamboo forest, hagenia, hypericum and lobelia bush close at the summit. The hike through Mount Bisoke may take you about three hours on ascent.
