On this Uganda Wildlife safari we shall take you on the unforgettable primates expedition in the two different ways, Ngamba Islands for the close up experience in a unique sanctuary built for the Orphaned Chimps closely resembling their natural environment.
And later you will proceed to Kibale Forest National park for yet an encounter of a lifetime with the wild but habituated chimps. You will also have a journey to Queen Elizabeth National park for the game drives and the Nature walk in the Lake Mburo national park safari.

Detailed Itinerary for 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
DAY 1. Arrival in Uganda and the Visit to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
You will be met at the airport by our safari guide and driver who will transfer you to the pier on Lake Victoria to catch a speed boat that will take you to the sanctuary for orphaned chimpanzees on the Ngamba island.
You watch them feed and display their playful antics that are a delight to watch. You will return to Entebbe and then transfer to Kampala for dinner and overnight at your booked hotel. DAY.2. Travel to Kibale Forest National Park.
You will depart from Kampala going westwards to Fortportal town. This journey takes around 4-5 hours. You will have lunch in Fortpotal and then continue with your journey heading to kibale. Here you will go for either community walk or visit the beautiful crater lakes region for aspectacular view.
Dinner and overnight will be served at the lodge reserved for you. Accomodation; Luxury: Ndali lodge/ Primate lodge/ Kibale forest/Kyaninga lodge. Midrange: Mountains of the moon/ Kibale forest camp. Budget: Rwenzori Travellers/ Chimpanzee forest guest house. Meal plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
DAY 3. Chimp tracking and Nature walk in the Kibale Forest national park
You will wake up early in the morning and take your breakfast. Then by around 8:00am you be at kanyanchu tourist center for the briefing on how to track chimpanzees. The park is only accessible by foot and Chimp tracking mostly takes 2-3 hours which gives you a great opportunity to also see other primates and animals as well as different bird species, butterflies and other insects.
There after you will return to the lodge for lunch and later in the evening you will go for a nature walk in bigodi wetland to see different birds and monkey species. Later you will travel to the Queen elizabeth national park following the mystical mountain Rwenzori ranges. Accomodation; Luxury: Ndali lodge/ Primate lodge/ Kibale forest/Kyaninga lodge. DAY 4. Game drive and the Boat cruise in the Queen Elizabeth National park.
You will wake up very early in the morning at around 6:30am for the game drive.Along the game drive you will be able to experience wild natural animals like the big five elephants, leopards, Bush bucks, Buffalos, lions, Antelopes, waterbucks as well as birds.
And then after you will return to the lodge for the breakfast and relax untill you eat lunch. In the evening you will be able to go for evenning boat cruise along the kazinga channel which connects lake George and lake Edward where you will be able to spot water animals in the close range like Buffalos, crocodiles, Hippos and elephants bathing on the channel banks.
You will also be able to spot different bird species. Dinner and overnight will be at your booked lodge. Accommodation includes; Luxury: Mweya safari lodge, Katara lodge. DAY 5. From Queen Elizabeth National park to Lake Mburo National park.
You will after breakfast go for a hike in the Kyambura Wildlife Reserve to find an amazing gorge of one hundred meters deep, covered with tropical rainforest. You will hike into the gorge of the Kyambura River in search of the wild chimpanzees.
This place is also home to many birds and butterfly species as well. After this activity you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. DAY 6. Game drive in the Mburo park and Boat cruise at the Lake.
You will after your breakfast travel to Lake Mburo National park centred on the series of swamp- fringed lakes rich in bird life while its green acacia woodland harbours wildlife like the Zebra, warthog, Elands, Impala among others which can be seen as you are entering the Park.
You will have a 2 hour game drive and go for lunch at the lodge reserved for you. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on L. Mburo and get quite close to the crocodiles and hippos. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. DAY. 7. Travel back to Kampala.
You will wake up very early in the morning for the breakfast and then go for guided Nature walk before setting up your journey to Kampala. Along the way you will make astopover at the uganda Equator where you will get achance to stand in the two hemispheres and have some photos.
Later you will also make another stop over at the Royal drum makers center where you will be able to see some ceremonial drums being crafted using Traditional methods. After there you will proceed with your journey to Kampala reaching in the late afternoon to catch up with your flight if you had booked it or return to your booked lodge in Kampala for the overnight and Dinner.
